Global Field Technician

Purpose of Position

Reporting to the Global Account Manager, you will be responsible for installing, implementing, and training all levels of operators on NSS Canada’s wide range of mining technology solutions in both surface and underground mining environments.

As an energetic problem solver, you will be the first line of support at the site level, providing first-class customer service, hardware, and software support, and will be considered a subject matter expert regarding all things NSS Canada.

This position will comprise 50% or more of travel, either within Canada, the United States, or South America as need arises. Remaining time will be spent in our Sudbury office providing local support for clients in the area.


Major Areas of Responsibility

• Supporting Mining Systems products and systems developed and distributed by NSS Canada for the mining industry, including fieldwork within our customer’s mining operations

• Identifying problems and repairing / replacing equipment

• Training customers in the use of equipment and applications

• Training customers in fault identification and component repair / replacement

• To establish and expand upon documentation and procedures to improve efficiency

• Compliance with NSS Canada’s Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures, participation in audits, and compliance with instructions given in respect to the health and safety of himself / herself and the safety of others

• Other duties as required


Qualifications & Experience Required:

• Technical Mining Engineering 2 or 3-year program (pre-requisite)

• French and Spanish speaking (asset)

• Trade certificate in Electronics (asset)

• Mechanical Background/Handy

• Drivers license

• Valid Passport

• Eligible to work in Canada

Sales & Account Manager - Operations

Purpose of Position

Act as the ‘hub’ for managing the relationship with Hexagon clients. Specialize in taking a proactive approach to problem-solving with Hexagon clients, working closely with them to ensure they receive the maximum benefit from the Hexagon suite of products. Responsible for continually fostering the relationship and working directly with Hexagon clients to help them succeed.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Pro-actively manages Hexagon’s relationship with assigned clients

• Responsible for direct sales (new and upgrades) to existing and new clients

• Responsible for working directly with clients to match the Hexagon suite of products with the client’s needs and requirements

• Directly responsible for the communication and coordination of additional client support as needed with other departments.

• Ensures the client’s needs and expectations are met

• Responsible for the preparation and submission of routine and ad hoc reports as needed/required

• Provides expert technical advice to new and existing clients

• Provides timely feedback to the Technical Support and Software Development Departments to assist in continually improving Hexagon client support and the Hexagon suite of products

Travel is required

Preferred Education & Work Experience

Administrative Assistant

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Based on experience $20-$30 per hour

Job Description: NSS Canada is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be the ‘face’ of NSS greeting our daily walk-ins. The Administration Assistant will be responsible for all NSS administrative duties to help service our clients, facilitate orders, and assist our team. 


  • Post-secondary diploma in office administration
  • 2+ years office administrative experience
  • QuickBooks
  • Shipping logistics – receiving goods, shipping orders, preparing custom duty documents, etc.
  • Experience with computer programs (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, QuickBooks, Sales Force)
  • Excellent Customer Service


  • Highly organized, with a high level of accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail
  • Ability to take initiative and a proactive approach to take tasks to completion
  • Ship and receive packages daily
  • Knowledge of courier shipping interfaces considered an asset
  • Sort and distribute mail to employees
  • Manage company internal database (IRA) for instrument repairs/servicing
  • Answer customer emails requesting quotations, process incoming orders, invoice and arrange for courier pick up
  • Basic office duties (answer emails and phones, scanning /filing documents)
  • Book travel (air, hotel, vehicle)
  • Bank deposits
  • Inventory control
  • Enter credit card expenses in database & QuickBooks
  • Provide internal support to payroll administrator as assigned
